QUEEN ELIZABETH
The picture of the queen from daily mail serves as a powerful representation for her after her demise. I chose this image because although it is a simple and subtle portrait of Elizabeth, the white which alludes to her purity and heaven, with the bold red lipstick and the jewels combine to create a striking image for the magazine. Her direct contact makes the overall cover more personal and the title offers an empathetic approach to her death, with the pronoun "our" creating unity between the audience and the magazine.
An interesting part to the queen's death is that the day of her funeral, which is a bank holiday, is personal to me as it is my birthday. So my birthday has now become a bank holiday
